Covering Brynne – 24 Hours of Prayer

If you don’t follow my Facebook, then you don’t know our sweet Brynne is having a lot of trouble right now. She’s been in the hospital several days now, and things have been kinda scary. (But, of course, she keeps smiling! www.brynnessmiles.org)

One of the verses that I have continually claimed and prayed for Brynne is found in the Psalms.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psalm 91:4

There’s something about that verse that brings my heart great joy! The thought of our sweet girl being completely wrapped up and engulfed by the power and protection of our God simply overwhelms my heart. My heart lept this morning to see a text from Maggie. There is no question that the Lord is proving himself faithful in miraculous ways. But, the battle is not over yet. They had another ‘scare’ last night, and the same could happen again in the next 24 hours.

We must fight with them. And, realistically, the only way to do that is to cover Brynne in prayer. This morning, I put together a prayer guide, if you will, of my thoughts and verses that correlate (yes, mother, I skipped church to do this). 🙂 There is no doubt that God is moving, His Spirit is working, and I want us all to take part in it!!

Just as this verse says of our God, while her little body is fighting, let’s cover her, fight with her, and ask God to protect our girl… together! Below are just some of my thoughts. Feel free to use, and please, send me questions, comments, thoughts, additions, etc.

Covering Brynne

Praise God for the opportunity to know & love Brynne, Craig, Maggie, and Koda. Praise God for who He is and thank him for being able to approach Him on behalf of B.

Ephesians 1:15-20; Ephesians 3:14-21; Psalm 95; Hebrews 4:16; Philippians 1:3-5; 1 Chronicles 16:8-36

Pray that the Bighams will be strengthened & will completely rely on the Lord as their source of peace & strength.

Philippians 1:9-11; Colossians 1:9-13; Psalm 115: 12-13; Proverbs 4:20-27; Isaiah 40:29-31; Isaiah 41:8-10; 2 Timothy 1:6-7

Pray that there is constant JOY surrounding and within Brynne & the Bighams, and that the Lord will continually BLESS them.

Philippians 4:4-7; James 1:2-4; Psalm 5:11; Psalm 47; James 1:12-15; Romans 8:28-30; Psalm 5:12

Pray that people will come to know Jesus through this; that people will continue to hear of Brynne and her testimony; and that God will glorify Himself through this!

Philemon 4-7; 2 Corinthians 14-17; Colossians 4:5-6; Matthew 5:14-16; Hebrews 10:19-23; 1 Timothy 2:1-6; Psalm 107:1-9

Thank God that He healed Brynne, even before she was born, by sending Jesus. Praise Him that the Bighams know Him, love Him, and desire to glorify Him.

1 Peter 2:21-25; Psalms 107:8; Psalms 118:17; Isaiah  53:5-6; Romans 8:2-11

Claim the Lord’s promises for Brynne, telling Him that we, in unity, believe & have faith that He can and will heal Brynne, if it be in His will.

James 5:13-18; Psalm 30:2; Hebrews 11

Thank God that we know he hears our prayers. Tell Him that we have faith in him!

Mark 10:27; Mark 9:23; 11: 22-24; Matthew 18:19-20; Matthew 21:21-22; 1 John 3:21-22; 5:14-15

Praise God that He is in control, and that we trust in Him, even when we do not see or understand!

Thank God that He is the same now as he was then, and pray that He will  protect, heal, and deliver Brynne!

To God be the glory forever and ever and ever and ever and ever!

AMEN.
